How Do You What Size Bar or Counter Stool You Need?
Common Stool Heights
Most counter stools range between 25 to 30 inches, with "tall" barstools ranging between 30 to 40 inches. When picking a counter or bar stool, it's important to leave about 10" between the top of the stool and the bottom of the bar or counter.

Common Stool Widths
We suggest leaving anywhere between 25 to 30 inches between the center of each bar or counter stool. This spacing ensures there is enough room to easily get into and out of your seat and allows for a little elbow room. If your stool is "extra-wide", you may want to leave even more room between each stool.

Common Stool Depths
There's no "standard" seat depth that is guaranteed to be comfy for counter or bar stools. The seat depth is measured from the front-most point to the back of the seat. Usually the taller the stool, the more seat depth is available.
